Completing quizzes in VU Collaborate

Quizzes may be used as part of the formal assessment of your course or as a self-check tool after topics so you can gauge how you’re going. The Quizzes tool is located under the Assessment tab in your VU Collaborate Space.  Sometimes the teacher may also include a link within the Content area.

How do I complete a quiz?

Ensure that you have time to complete your quiz and you are in a quiet area. Remember that you need to have access to the Internet and a computer with Chrome browser installed. If you are using a tablet, the Puffin Browser is also good.

On the Quiz List page, click on the quiz you want to complete. Read the instructions and details for the quiz, and when you're ready, click ‘Start Quiz’. After you attempt to answer all quiz questions, click ‘Submit Quiz’. For more information on completing a quiz, please view this guide.

I can’t see the quiz I need to complete, what do I do?

If you are unable to see a quiz, please speak with the teacher as they may have added restrictions to this quiz.

How do I review my answers to a quiz?

On the Quiz List page, click ‘Submissions’ from the dropdown menu of the quiz you want to view. Once you click on your quiz attempt, you should be able to view your answers and any additional information.

I’ve completed the quiz but I can’t see my submission or correct answers, what can I do?

If you are unable to view your previous submissions, the teacher may have restricted student visibility of past submissions. This can be corrected however, it does require you to consult with the teacher.

How do I view my grade for a quiz?

On the Quiz List page, click Submissions from the dropdown menu of the quiz you want to view. If you are unable to view your grade, this is because the teacher or lecturer may have set restrictions. If you have concerns regarding this, please speak with the teacher or lecturer.
