This section covers setting up your calendar, managing calendar events and subscribing to iCal feeds

iCal Feeds provides functionality to export your VU Collaborate calendar events into third party applications. Third party applications include Microsoft Outlook® and Google Calendar®, and mobile devices such as iPhones, Blackberries, and Android phones.

Enable iCal feeds

  1. Open Calendar in VU Collaborate by clicking on the word Calendar.

  2. Click Settings in the calendar views area.

  3. Select the checkbox by Enable Calendar Feeds under Calendar Feeds then click Save.

Subscribing to an iCal feed

Subscribing to iCal feeds syncs your external calendar application or device with the Learning Suite Calendar tool, keeping you updated without necessarily logging in to VU Collaborate.

 

  1. Click Subscribe in the calendar views area.

  2. Select an option from the drop down menu from the drop-down list.

  3. Copy and the paste the URL into an external calendar tool.
